Ring Sizing
Using a Ring You Already Own and Our Printable Guide
- Print this guide, ensuring your printer settings are set to 100% scale (actual size).
- Take a ring you already own—or one you’ve borrowed for a surprise engagement or gift—and place it over the sizing circles provided.
- Find the circle that best matches the inside edge of the ring. The sizes listed correspond to the ring’s inner diameter.
- If the ring falls between two sizes, choose the larger one for a better fit.
Important tip:
- Keep band width in mind. Wider bands tend to feel tighter on the finger, so you may want to consider sizing up by half a size.
How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
- Wrap a piece of string or a strip of paper around the base of your finger.
- Use a pen to mark where the ends meet.
- Lay the string or paper flat and measure the length (in millimeters) with a ruler.
- Divide that number by 3.14 (Pi) to calculate the diameter.
- Use the diameter to find the closest match on a ring size chart.
- Your ring should fit comfortably—tight enough to stay in place, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle without too
much resistance. - f your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure both areas and choose a size that falls between the two
measurements.
